SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise—learn the activities, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs—become a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively fulfill their role.
You will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, break them down into Features and Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. At the end, participants will learn about the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, understand how to effectively integrate into the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, and discover what is needed for continuous improvement of the ART.
To perform the role of SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean enterprise
- Connect Lean-Agile principles and values with PO/PM roles
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning
- Execute Program Increments and deliver continuous value
- Describe the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager
- Create an action plan for their role

Requirements
Everyone is welcome to the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are strongly recommended for those planning to take the SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam:
- Attendance at the Leading SAFe® course
- Experience working in an SAFe environment
- Experience with Lean, Agile, or other relevant certifications
