Exam
The “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer” examination adheres to all PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) standards. It assesses the following competency areas:
Domain 1: Foundational principles and concepts of an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS)
Domain 2: Requirements for the Artificial Intelligence Management System
Domain 3: Strategic planning for AIMS implementation aligned with ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 4: Deployment and execution of an AIMS based on ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 5: Performance monitoring and measurement of an AIMS under ISO/IEC 42001
Domain 6: Continuous improvement strategies and preparation for AIMS certification audits
Available Credentials and Requirements
Once the examination is passed, you may apply for specific credentials tailored to your professional background and project experience. Certification is granted upon meeting all criteria for the selected tier, including the signing of the PECB Code of Ethics.
1. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Provisional Implementer

Exam Requirement: Completion of the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or an equivalent assessment

2. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Implementer

Exam Requirement: Completion of the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or an equivalent assessment

Professional Experience: Two years of total professional experience, with a minimum of one year dedicated to artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: Minimum of 200 hours of relevant project activities

3. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer

Exam Requirement: Completion of the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or an equivalent assessment

Professional Experience: Five years of total professional experience, including at least two years focused on artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: Minimum of 300 hours of relevant project activities

4. PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Senior Lead Implementer

Exam Requirement: Completion of the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer exam or an equivalent assessment

Professional Experience: Ten years of total professional experience, with a minimum of seven years dedicated to artificial intelligence

AIMS Project Experience: Minimum of 1,000 hours of relevant project activities

General
- The cost of both the certification and examination is included in the training fee.
- Participants are provided with comprehensive course materials, featuring over 400 pages of content, real-world examples, exercises, and quizzes.
- An certificate of completion, carrying 31 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits, is awarded to those who attend the training.
- Candidates who complete the course but do not pass the exam are permitted one free retake within 12 months of the initial exam date.
