Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a leading proprietary BI solution for one of its key products, opting instead for the Open Source system Superset to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Building on this foundation, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the specific reporting requirements for each report type. They recommended modifications to the data stores to optimize the use of Superset and ensure peak performance, while providing the implementation team with the necessary guidance. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began constructing and deploying a range of reports based on established requirements and new requests from the business and end customers. To facilitate the requested data presentation, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data visualization, such as drill-down features.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the client organization to sustain the dashboards and reports. The project remains ongoing and has been well-received by both the client’s business stakeholders and their end users. Highlighting the project's success, its scope has been expanded to encompass additional products and end clients.
